SEI does not set, manage or receive audit and certification fees. To safeguard independence, impartiality and transparency, SEI certification is conducted by an authorised independent third-party Certification Body.
01 — Who does what
SEI owns the scheme. Someone else grants the certificate.
SEI
Develops and maintains the Standard, provides the participant framework and SEI-ORT, supports participants in understanding which Modules apply, and maintains the technical requirements of the scheme.
The Certification Body
Confirms the certification scope, provides the audit quotation, appoints the auditor, conducts the assessment, reviews the results and makes the final decision.
Neither SEI nor the auditor decides
SEI does not audit its members and does not make the certification decision. That separation is what an SEI certificate is worth.
02 — What it costs
The audit is quoted to you, not priced by SEI.
Audit costs are determined by the Certification Body and vary according to the organisation's size, activities, applicable modules, number of locations and certification scope. They are separate from, and additional to, the annual SEI Membership fee.
