These terms constitute a legal agreement between you (“you” or “the User”) and the Sustainable Equestrian Initiative (“SEI” or “we”), owner of the domain name and website sustainable-equestrian.org (“the Website”). Your agreement to be bound by these terms is acknowledged by your use of the Services, which include visiting the Website, using its links, contacting SEI representatives, taking part in the SEI Community, and using the SEI Online Reporting Tool and any software we make available to you.
- InformationInformation published in relation to SEI services is informational only and does not by itself govern the relationship between SEI and its members. That relationship is governed by these Terms of Use, the Privacy Policy and the membership terms applicable to your organisation.
- UseYou may use the information published on the Website for informational purposes. You may not use it in any other way without prior written consent from SEI. The SEI Standard, the Core Mandatory Layer and the Activity Modules are published for the purpose of preparing for and pursuing certification.
- Your account and your contentIf you create an SEI Community Account, you are responsible for the activity that takes place through it and for keeping your credentials secure. Content you post remains yours, and by posting it you grant SEI the right to display it within the Services. You agree not to post content that is unlawful, misleading, abusive, or that infringes the rights of others, and not to present unverified claims about your organisation as certified status. We may remove content or suspend an account that breaches these terms.
- Certification is decided independentlySEI develops and maintains the Standard. SEI does not certify. Certification decisions are taken by an independent Certification Body, which appoints the auditor, sets the audit cost and grants, refuses, suspends or withdraws certification within an approved scope. Membership of SEI, and the status of SEI Participant, do not constitute certification and must not be presented as such.
- AvailabilityYou acknowledge that the Internet is neither owned nor controlled by any single organisation. SEI therefore cannot guarantee that the Website or any of its services will be reachable at any given time. SEI will make every good-faith effort to keep them available as widely as possible and with as little interruption as possible.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability for consequential or incidental damages, so the above exclusions may not apply to all users; in those jurisdictions, liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

No waiver by SEI of any breach or default shall be deemed a waiver of any preceding or subsequent breach or default.
- Correction of errorsThe Website and any correspondence related to it may contain typographical or other errors and may not be complete or current. SEI reserves the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions and to change or update content at any time without prior notice.
